Staff Pick/Summer Reads

I just love those lazy, hazy days of summer. Lying in the sun reading a book has always been my favorite and I just read a great book for doing just that. If you want a light-hearted, funny read try out Sophie Kinsella's most recent book, Wedding Night(Although it isn't that recent. It's been out for a year, it's just taken me this long to get around to reading it. Or maybe I was just saving it for the beach!)

Lottie just knows that her boyfriend is going to propose over lunch after he tells her he has a "big question" to ask her. When his big questions turns out to be about travel Lottie is done with these boyfriend's who can't commit. Just as Lottie has given up, her "summer fling" , Ben, from many years ago call her up and proposes after one date.

Lottie's sister Fliss know how these breaks up go. Every time, Lottie does something extreme and then regrets it in the end. That's why she will stop at nothing to ensure this marriage between Lottie and ben either never happens or isn't valid.

Staff Pick

I'm a huge Emily Giffin fan. If you are looking for an enjoyable, light-hearted read, you should come by and definitely consider one of her novels: Something Borrowed, Something Blue, or Love the One You're With. All great reads. Or try her newest book on shelves two weeks and already #1 on the New York Times Bestseller List.

Shea has lived in Walker, Texas her entire life. She lives and breathes Walker College football. She works in the Athletic Department and is close to the head football coach, Coach Carr, who also happens to be a legend in football and her best friend's father. It is at his assistance that she goes out for a job as Sports Writer for the Dallas Post and at her best friend Lucy's insistence that she can do better than her current boyfriend, Miller. With the help of these two, she finds herself as the only female in the Sports Department at the Dallas Post and dating the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. But as good as things seem, her feelings for someone else(someone who is technically off limits) are haunting her.
