Staff Pick

I'm a huge Emily Giffin fan. If you are looking for an enjoyable, light-hearted read, you should come by and definitely consider one of her novels: Something Borrowed, Something Blue, or Love the One You're With. All great reads. Or try her newest book on shelves two weeks and already #1 on the New York Times Bestseller List.

Shea has lived in Walker, Texas her entire life. She lives and breathes Walker College football. She works in the Athletic Department and is close to the head football coach, Coach Carr, who also happens to be a legend in football and her best friend's father. It is at his assistance that she goes out for a job as Sports Writer for the Dallas Post and at her best friend Lucy's insistence that she can do better than her current boyfriend, Miller. With the help of these two, she finds herself as the only female in the Sports Department at the Dallas Post and dating the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. But as good as things seem, her feelings for someone else(someone who is technically off limits) are haunting her.

5 Books You Might Have Missed in 2013

Catherine McKenzie (author of Arranged, a great read here at the library) recently wrote an article highlighting " 5 books You Might Have Missed in 2013." Read along with me as I take a journey back to 2013. I just finished the Comfort of Lies and must say McKenzie recommended a great read. Now on to the others! Comment below and let us know what you think about any of these bestsellers from 2013. 5 Books You May Have Missed in 2013
