Many people are familiar with the gifted author, Nicholas Sparks. Several of his books have been adapted into major motion pictures. Among them are "The Last Song," "Dear John," "Nights in Rodanthe," "Message in a Bottle," "A Walk to Remember," and the "The Notebook."
But have you read "The Best of Me," published in 2011? It begins in the spring of 1984 when a boy and a girl fall deeply in love. They live on opposite sides of the tracks and are thwarted in their love of one another. So after high school they drift apart.
Twenty-five years later they meet again at the funeral of a dear friend. They discover they still love each other, in spite of the fact that she has been married for almost twenty years. Each of them must question the choices they have made and ask the question "Can love really rewrite the past?"
Come and see!
