October 24 is celebrated as United Nations Day. Also, United Nations Day marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the United Nations Charter. The United Nations General Assembly in 1971, recommended that this day be observed by the Member States as a public holiday. One of the most important thing that we shall remember why we celebrate United Nations Day is diversity. This day reminds us about acknowledging and accepting cultural diversity.
