National Library Week

The week of April 10th is National Library Week, which was created in 1958 by the American Library Association to celebrate libraries and their contribution to their communities.  Libraries across the USA will celebrate with various activities to promote books, literacy, and community.

The Pugh Library in Senatobia will sponsor three activities:  a poetry contest to celebrate National Poetry Month; a design a book cover contest, which will provide students with the opportunity to redesign a favorite book's cover; and doughnuts and juice drop in for NWCC faculty.

Libraries (and librarians) play a vital role in our communities.  We love working with patrons and helping them find "just the right resources," whether it be a book for pleasure reading or a journal article for a research paper.  Come by the library the week of April 10th and help us celebrate what we do!

Specific dates and times for all of our NLW activities will be provided at a later date! :)
