The main aim for library displays is to promote existing
books from the collection. I find that the displays really do work to get books
circulating again. We need to be actively promoting our resources, otherwise
they could lay dormant on the shelves. There are several ways in which this
process happens. No wall space for displays? Try a display by utilizing some of
your shelves, a bay-end window and the circulation desk. One can also display banners or displays on
windows and doors. The bulletin boards
can be use to promote new titles in the collection as well as various library
themes of the month.
