Chronicling America

An indispensable commodity of which the typical New Yorker gets too little (LOC)
If you've never looked at the resources online at the Library of Congress (LOC), today might be a good day to try it!

Chronicling America, just one of the digital collections at the LOC, has digital copies of newspapers from 1836-1922 from cities around the US.

Although right now there aren't any Mississippi newspapers in this collection just yet, the Mississippi Department of Archives and History has just announced that they will be adding 100,000 pages of Mississippi newspapers to this collection.

Check out the news release here for more information about historic Mississippi newspapers coming soon to a computer near you!
